"Aqua Cascata Cleveland"
Indoor Fountain/Public Art
Project Details
- Location: Cleveland, Ohio, USA
- Client: Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland
- Completion Year: 2024
- Dimensions (H × W × D): 3 m × 6 m × 0.5 m
Client’s Task
To create an expressive interior centerpiece that would:
- harmoniously combine natural materials and contemporary design;
- offer visitors a multi-sensory experience (water, light, texture, greenery);
- become a photogenic focal point and relaxation area in the grand hall;
- emphasize the venue’s prestige and openness to contemporary art.
Our Solution
- Composition. 30 art glass panels (500 × 500 mm) and a central slab of natural agate measuring 2.5 × 1 m, united by cascading water; green accents enhance the natural aesthetic.
- Light and water. Dynamic reflections on glass and stone, soft illumination, and adjustable water flow — from gentle streaming to more vivid scenarios.
- Materials and durability. Wear-resistant structures, waterproof lighting modules, filtration, and water circulation systems ensure reliable operation in a high-traffic environment.
- Integration into the space. The fountain was designed as a functional art element, visually centering the atrium without overwhelming navigation or visitor flow.
- Process. Production and installation took 4 months — from concept and engineering to commissioning.
Result
- Aqua Cascata became the hall’s landmark feature, strengthening the center’s image and increasing visitor engagement.
- The installation generates a steady stream of organic social media content and increases the time guests spend near the fountain.
- The combination of water, light, and natural materials creates the effect of a “living” space: by day — a bright oasis, by night — an expressive light scene.
