"Pterodactyls"
Kinetic Art Installation
The return of legends through kinetic art
Pterodactyls transports viewers into a prehistoric sky: seven life-size kinetic creatures glide through an atrium, composing dynamic formations. Light, motion, and sound merge into an aerial performance where architecture becomes the stage.
Idea & vision
Inspired by the elegance of ancient flight, we created a living sculpture that fuses realism with kinematic mechanics. Seamless synchronization evokes a sense of real presence, as if the giants truly glide above the audience.
Dynamics & sound
Programmable kinetic drives generate multiple flight configurations. Original sound design, referencing natural timbres, deepens immersion and turns the show into an airborne theater.
