"Water World" Interactive Fountain (Public Art)
Idea
At Skyform Studio, we create public art objects from a city’s “DNA” — from landmarks to natural motifs. Water World is designed for a coastal city: water, light, steel, and motion turn the square into a stage for live interaction. It’s contemporary public art for everyday dialogue with citizens.
Sea motif
The sea is movement and light. The installation features fish species of the Azov Sea for full identity. Polished silhouettes glide across the mirror-like surface and dissolve into depth, leaving thin traces of light. The format is an immersive art installation within the language of urban art.
City adaptation
The project scales to any context: we can embed a local landmark or district symbol as the core meaning. The solution fits sculpture in public spaces and architectural public-art programs.
Interactivity
Ten ground buttons encircle the fountain. Step on one — the corresponding fish lights up. The more participants, the more dynamic the piece. When all buttons are pressed, a full evening show of water, light, and mist begins.
Design & materials
A thin water film over black granite acts as the sea surface: a city mirror by day, a dark canvas for light at night.
Twenty-four stainless-steel fish with internal LED lighting form a glowing composition.
Technology & emotions
Lighting scenarios range from meditative to pulsating; the launch comes from people, so every evening is unique. An original Skyform Studio solution, ready to adapt to different sites.
Legacy
Water World is a cultural symbol of a coastal city and a reminder of care for nature: speaking about important things through the language of water and light.
