Client’s task

Create an art object for a park and recreation area that:

• will resemble a sailboat sailing on water;
• will remain spectacular during the day and at night;
• will combine the aesthetics of art and the power of engineering;
• will attract tourists and become a new symbol of the park.

Our solution

• Image and composition. Sculpture in the shape of a sailboat with dynamic lines, creating a feeling of movement and lightness.
• Light scenario. 60 light sources create a dramatic silhouette at night, reflecting off the water and enhancing the illusion of sails.
• Engineering. Three 22.5 k W pumps circulate water in a volume of 255 m³/h, stabilizing the structure and filling it with vital energy.
• Base. The metal base with a float module guarantees stability and safe operation on the water.
• Process. The project took only 5 months — from idea and design to installation on a pond.

Result

• The sailboat has become a new symbol of Sofiyivka Park, combining the aesthetics of art and the energy of the elements.
• The sculpture is impressive at any time of the day: during the day – as an expressive art object, at night – as a beacon of light.
• The installation enhanced the park’s tourist appeal and became one of its main attractions.
• Thousands of photographs and publications on social networks turned it into a powerful cultural and PR accent of the region.
