Task

We were faced with the task of creating an expressive light installation that would not just illuminate the space, but would become its visual accent and symbol of the center.
The new NüIQ Wellness Lounge & Med Spa wanted the interior to surprise visitors and stand out from its competitors not only in design, but also in its depth of meaning.
In addition, it was important that the installation reflect the corporate colors of the company and be seamlessly integrated into the parametric ceiling of the center.

Our solution

We created a kinetic installation “Orbits” , built into the ceiling of the lobby. It integrates movement, light and architecture, transforming the ceiling into a living part of the space.

• The design consists of three circular shapes with suspended light elements.
• A total of 58 lamps were used:
  1. First circle (Ø 2.54 m) – 32 lamps
  2. Second circle (Ø 1.78 m) – 17 lamps
  3. Third circle (Ø 1.42 m) – 9 lamps
• Each lamp is made of innovative diffusing plastic with integrated LED modules.
• The movement is provided by high-precision kinetic winches that synchronize the smooth movements of the luminaires.

The resulting installation creates a continuous light choreography in which circles and lines form dynamic compositions reminiscent of an orbital dance.

Flexibility of lighting scenarios

The installation can change the atmosphere of a space depending on the time of day and tasks:

• Day mode – soft, even lighting for relaxation and meditation. The lamps change their shape every 15 minutes, then freeze for another 15 minutes in the new configuration. We selected the shade of light to match the lamps themselves, which enhanced their radiance and emphasized the corporate style of the center.
• Evening Mode – Expressive lighting effects with smooth motion dynamics.
• Event Mode – High-energy, high-octane scenarios ideal for events and presentations.

Result

Kinetic installation “Orbits” completely transformed the interior of the NüIQ Wellness Lounge & Med Spa, turning it into a space that lives and breathes with its visitors.

• The ceiling has become a central accent, setting the atmosphere of the entire room.
• The installation combined technology, artistic vision and corporate identity, reflecting the philosophy of Skyform Studio.
• “Orbits” became not just a light object, but a living sculpture that makes the interior dynamic, emotional and memorable.
