Concept and Philosophy of the Installation

“Step into the center and receive a blessing.”

“Prayer for Love” is not merely an installation, but a rare experience within the urban environment — a space where a person ceases to be a passerby and becomes the central participant of the event. It is a work of public art in which artistic imagery, architectural lighting, sound, and tactile sensation merge into a unified ritual of care.

At the core of the composition is a circle of 11 guardian mothers of humanity. This is an image of higher intelligence and higher care, manifested to offer their Love to people. They do not belong to any religion and have no faces. Their facelessness is intentional: what the viewer encounters are not characters, but archetypal beings — a universal image of the maternal principle that reveals itself when humanity most needs Love, acceptance, and inner support.

The number 11 becomes part of the object’s philosophy. It is a number of threshold — a step beyond completion, a moment of transition where the previous state has been exhausted and the new one is only beginning to emerge. The circle is assembled, yet remains incomplete until a human enters it. That is why the center of the composition is left open — not as emptiness, but as an invitation. Not as a pause, but as the semantic core of the entire work.

The Central Ritual

When the central space is unoccupied, it gently breathes with light, like a living beacon. This invitation requires no explanation — it is perceived intuitively. A person senses that the circle is waiting. And the moment they step into the center, the installation shifts from contemplation to a deeply personal experience.

This initiates the 30-second “Prayer for Love” — the key scenario of the installation. The person who enters the center becomes the one being prayed for. From all sides, they are enveloped by sound resembling a prayer: soft choral tones, breath-like textures, and subtle sonic transitions that create the feeling that the space itself begins to resonate around them. A delicate vibration rises from beneath the ground — almost imperceptible, refined, physically felt. Not as an effect, but as a sign of presence, as if the earth itself responds to this act of attention. The light of the guardians gathers into a unified soft pattern — a luminous crown closing the circle around the person.

This experience feels like a form of gentle magic, yet remains firmly within the language of contemporary art. The synchronization of light, sound, and vibration does not create an illusion of mysticism, but rather a rare state almost absent from modern urban life — a state in which a person feels held, accepted, and blessed. For these 30 seconds, they become the center of unconditional attention. And in this lies the core value of the installation: Love becomes not a concept, but a lived experience.

The conclusion of the ritual is as carefully designed as its beginning. After 30 seconds, the sound dissolves into silence, the vibration fades, and the light softly guides the person out. A natural and deeply human feeling arises: “I have received — now it is time to pass it on.” This gesture transforms the installation from an artistic statement into a social scenario. The city gains a place where people, one after another, receive attention, silence, and blessing. A place where care becomes not an idea, but an action.

Interaction Scenarios

Beyond the central ritual, each guardian possesses its own interactive presence. As a person approaches, the figure gently awakens through light and sound, as if acknowledging their presence. Upon touch, it enters into a quiet dialogue, responding with delicate combinations of light and calm sonic feedback. This is not noise, not entertainment — but an aesthetic of subtle communication: restrained, refined, and emotionally precise.

The installation gains particular strength through collective interaction. Multiple people can simultaneously engage with different guardians, and the circle begins to function as a single living instrument. Each participant contributes their action to the overall composition of light and sound, transforming the space into a harmonious experience of shared presence. In this way, the object works not only with individual perception, but also with a rare urban quality — a sense of synchrony and collective rhythm.

Operational Modes and Urban Value

Twice per hour, the installation unfolds into a special two-minute light and sound sequence. During this moment, the circle gathers into a unified score, and the guardians respond with waves of light, transforming the space into a pulsating yet delicate stage. This creates a rhythm for the place itself, forming anticipation and return — the very emotional value that makes people want to come back.
At the same time, sound levels and scenarios can be adapted to the specific location, including quieter evening modes.

“Prayer for Love” operates simultaneously across multiple dimensions.
As an artistic gesture, it creates a profound and universal image of care.
As an urban object, it becomes a point of attraction — a recognizable symbol and a new emotional identity of the place.
As a user experience, it offers something deeply lacking in the modern world: silence, attention, acceptance, and a sense of inner support.
