“Sails of Freedom” Floating public art installation (interactive memorial)
Idea
“Sails of Freedom” – This float aching art installation , dedicated to the heroes who gave their strength and lives for the independence of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Placed on the water in front of a government building, the composition connects memory of the past And focus on the future , becoming a noticeable landmark of the city water area.
Interactive memory
Integrated into the design QR codes , leading to a special application with biographies and stories of heroes. Families and researchers can add to the materials by making a memorial living memory platform , where the nation’s heritage is enriched by the testimonies of families and communities.
Image and symbolism
The installation is made in the image of a ship – the archetype of freedom, perseverance and movement towards a goal. Lightweight stainless steel sails respond to wind and light, changing the pattern of reflections and emphasizing continuity of the path to independence .
