IN 2019 year Skyform Studio developed a unique project – an art installation “Symbol of Ukraine” , rethinking the classic coat of arms in the language of modern public art . Height 11 m makes the object a powerful visual landmark of the urban environment. This is not just a sign – it’s voice of the country , connecting historical memory and aspiration to the future.
Philosophy and meaning
Installation – modern interpretation Trident , in which past, present and future folded into a single shape. Golden color refers to official symbols, to the warmth of the sun and endless wheat fields Ukraine. This is the image freedom, dignity and strength , designed to inspire and remind you of your roots.
The object speaks language of today : dynamic lighting, innovative materials and potential multimedia integration convey the spirit of a renewed Ukraine – strong, independent, courageous .
Artistic concept and details
Scale 11 m chosen consciously: it emphasizes the significance of the symbol, makes it noticeable from afar and impossible to ignore . The golden coating enhances the historical associations and literally forces the shape glow in the sun , turning Trident into beacon of identity .
There is an inscription on the side panels “My Kyiv” – a tribute to the city where this version was conceived. When installed in other cities, the inscription adapts (For example, “My Lviv” , “My Odessa” ), creating personal connection of the symbol with the local community. Integrated into the composition ears of wheat – a sign of fertility, peace and hard work.
Light and technology
At night, the installation comes to life thanks to dynamic backlight : light reveals the volume of the Trident and forms around it light stage that attracts people. Light scenarios can be change for public holidays, memorable dates and city events, turning the object into media platform in the very heart of the city.
The art installation is made of stainless steel with a protective coating – this ensures durability and resistance to weather and operational loads. The choice of material is symbolic: strength and durability — qualities inherent in the Ukrainian people.
Interactivity
Installed in the installation sensors , which respond to the presence and interaction of people. There are provided around special pad buttons : when visitors stand on them, an art object launches special lighting and multimedia scenarios , coming to life and involving viewers in the action.
Future and scaling
The project was originally designed as replicable : It can be adapted for different cities of Ukraine , changing the city inscription and lighting scenarios. This is how it is formed symbolic network points uniting the country. Thanks to dynamic light and multimedia capabilities, the installation remains relevant And sensitive to time .
