Client’s task

Create a landmark object for a park and entertainment complex that:

• will become the center of attention on an artificial reservoir;
• will visually convey the moment of the take-off of the mythical Pegasus;
• will work effectively both day and night, enhancing the emotional perception of space.

Our solution

• Image and composition. Dynamic plastic of Pegasus with an emphasis on the line of the wings and a silhouette that is clearly readable from afar.
• Water engineering. The stainless steel base with a float module ensures stability and correct position above the water surface.
• Materials and finishing. Galvanized steel, automotive enamel and multi-layer varnish ensured durability and a bright visual effect.
• Light scenario. 15 built-in light sources provide soft body illumination and directional accents that create patterns of light and shadow on the water and shoreline.
• Process. The implementation took 4 months – from concept and engineering solutions to installation on the reservoir.

Result

• “Rising Pegasus” became a beacon of space and a new symbol of Sofievka Park.
• Light and reflections provided an immersive experience: by day an expressive sculpture, by night a light object visible from a great distance.
• The installation enhanced the tourist attraction of the reservoir area and expanded the cultural code of the place, combining legend and modern engineering.
• The park received a significant art object, near which thousands of photographs and posts on social networks were taken.
• This the world’s only art object on the water with a life-size Pegasus .

Rising Pegasus from Skyform Studio is a harmony of water, light and myth that enlivens the space and gives viewers a feeling of anticipation of flight.
