“Seagulls” is a large-scale kinetic installation from Skyform Studio , created specifically for airports and large public spaces. The project conveys a feeling of freedom, lightness and endless movement, turning the terminals into a dynamic artistic environment. This kinetic sculpture of soaring seagulls creates an atmosphere of inspiration and harmony, reminding passengers of the magic of air travel and the vast expanses of the sky.
Concept and idea
Seagulls are a symbol of freedom, air and perpetual motion. In the airport space, where every journey begins with a dream of new horizons, the installation becomes an artistic reflection of the flight itself. The interactive kinetic composition comes to life, imitating the natural dynamics of birds. Seagulls smoothly glide through the terminal space, creating the effect of an airy ocean filled with movement, light and a soft play of shadows. The space ceases to be static – it begins to breathe .
Dynamics and movement
Installation includes 66 kinetic seagulls , each of which floats in the air, reproducing the natural flapping of wings. The wingspan of each bird is 1 meter . Special kinetic mechanisms ensure smooth, synchronized and elegant movements. The control system is programmed to 20 unique movement sequences , forming the effect of a living sky, which continuously changes and transforms throughout 20 minute performance . Each program creates a new visual state of space.
Specifications
Installation size – 35 × 12 meters , with the ability to adapt to various architectural solutions and atrium parameters. Kinetic mechanisms allow you to adjust the flight altitude up to 5 meters , creating a realistic feeling of free floating.
